How is your eyesight? Have you made God too small in your own eyes? Do you need some details in your life enlarged? Is your God big enough to handle the details or do you need a magnifying glass?

Sometimes I need to apologize to God for my weak faith. How about you? Have you ever had any of the following conversations with God?

“I’m sorry God. I’ve made you too small in my eyes to handle this problem. Please forgive.”

“Oh, Lord! I did it again. I have believed in a lie from hell that You God are unable. I am so weak.”

“I can’t believe my foolishness Lord. Once again, I have listened to the others around me and totally ignored You the God of the Universe. I know Your Word says just the opposite of what the world is telling me. Please forgive me.”

Webster’s dictionary says the definition of magnify means to enlarge by holding closer to the eye. To enlarge your “field of view”; observe objects in greater detail. As I finished reading that definition I started shouting inside my heart, That’s it! I need to enlarge my “field of view”. I need God’s perspective. Oh Lord, be MAGNIFIED!

“Your own eyes shall see this and you shall say; ”The Lord is great and will be magnified over and beyond the border of Israel!” Malachi 1:5 (AMP)

As you magnify the Lord in your own life you will begin shining and sharing with others what He has done for you. Ask the Lord to use you in a mighty way to lead others to Christ. Ask Him to show you who you can mentor and teach the Word of God. When you ask Him to reveal Himself to you and you are obedient to the Word, God will be present. Mentoring involves sharing your God story and leading others to Scripture for every question in life the other person may have. God wants to use you in a huge way and all you have to say to God is “Yes!”

One of my favorite Christian Women Hero’s in history is Corrie ten Boom. Here are three quotes by her that are worth meditating on and writing on an index card to read and reread over the next few months.

“It is not my ability, but my response to God’s ability, that counts.”

“Dear Jesus…how foolish of me to have called for human help when You are here.”

“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. If you look at God you’ll be at rest.”

Today let’s keep our eyes on the Lord and shout to Him with all of our hearts,

BE MAGNIFIED OH LORD!
